The beach
Asteria occupies the small peninsula between Glyfada and Voula, and it has been the address for organised beach life on this coast for decades. The sand is groomed, the loungers are laid out in disciplined rows, and the venues behind them run from morning coffee straight through to evening drinks.
This is a paid, structured beach rather than a public one, and the pricing reflects the postcode. What you get for it is a sheltered swim, proper service, and one of the best sunset positions on the Riviera — the peninsula faces west across open water.
Getting there
Asteria sits less than a kilometre from the southern edge of Glyfada, about 13 km from central Athens, right on the coastal avenue. The tram passes close behind on its way to Voula, and there is dedicated parking at the entrance.
