Glyfada B picks up where the first beach ends and runs south toward the Asteria peninsula. It is the more commercial of the pair: sun-lounger operations, beach bars, and music, with the free sand squeezed between them. If you want a day bed, an umbrella, and someone bringing you a drink, this is the stretch to aim for.
The water is the same clear Saronic blue as its neighbour, and the views open south toward Voula and the Kavouri headland. Weekday mornings are calm; from Friday afternoon onward the volume rises steadily.
Getting there
Under 2 km from the centre of Glyfada and about 12 km from central Athens, with the tram and coastal buses running behind it. Most of the organised sections take reservations in high season, which is worth doing for weekends.
