The place
Tsi Tsi is a psistaria, a charcoal grill house of the kind most Greek neighbourhoods have one of. This is one of three branches in Athens, alongside Agia Paraskevi and Kifisia, and the kitchen sticks to what grill houses do well: skewers, handmade kebabs and meatballs, cuts off the coals, and enough mezes and salads to fill the middle of the table.
The Glyfada room sits on Metaxa a few blocks south of the main retail stretch, inland from the seafront restaurants, and the crowd is largely local. It is unpretentious and open late, with tables outside.
Getting there
At 50 Angelou Metaxa Avenue in central Glyfada, about 13 km from central Athens. The tram stops in the centre a few minutes' walk away, and there is paid parking on the surrounding streets.
