Beach · Lagonissi
A small, secluded cove near Lagonissi with clear Saronic waters and a peaceful, local atmosphere.
Get directionsKiteza is one of the small coves that punctuate the coast around Lagonissi, and it stays largely in local hands. There is no organisation to speak of, the shoreline is a mix of sand and rock, and the water is clear and quickly deep.
It suits a quiet morning swim rather than a day out with equipment. Weekdays outside August you may have most of it to yourself.
About 15 km south of Glyfada and 26 km from central Athens, just past Lagonissi on the Sounio road. Access is by car, down one of the side roads off the coastal route.
