Voula's two municipal beaches sit side by side just south of Asteria and are consistently among the best-kept on the coast. Fine sand, clean water, shade, and the kind of orderly organisation — marked swimming areas, lifeguards, showers — that has earned them Blue Flag status.
The mood is markedly calmer than Glyfada a kilometre north. Families take the shallow end, swimmers use the longer open stretch, and the surrounding neighbourhood is residential rather than commercial, so the beach empties out in the evening instead of turning into a bar.
Getting there
About 1 km south of Glyfada and 14 km from central Athens. This is the end of the tram line — the terminus is a short walk from the sand — which makes Voula the furthest point south you can reach on the Riviera without a car or a bus.
